The all-new Li Auto L9 is the second generation of Li Auto's flagship SUV, launched on 15 May 2026. At 5,255 mm long on a 3,125 mm wheelbase it is the largest car Li Auto builds, and it keeps the six-seat 2+2+2 layout the model is known for, now arranged around four zero-gravity seats: two in the first row and two dynamic zero-gravity seats in the second. For the first time on an L9 the car is rated to tow, at 1,500 kg.
The powertrain is Li Auto's 5C range-extender system: a 72.7 kWh CATL NMC 5C battery, a third-generation in-house range extender built around a 1.5-litre 115 kW engine, and dual-motor all-wheel drive for 420 kW (563 hp) and 710 Nm, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a 200 km/h electronically limited top speed. Li Auto quotes 420 km of electric range and 1,650 km combined, both CLTC and from its own testing, on either trim, with a 10 to 80% charge in 10 minutes at a 5C charger.
Two trims. Livis leads: a fully by-wire chassis with 800 V active suspension and electro-mechanical braking, two Mach M100 chips for 2,560 TOPS, a four-unit 360-degree lidar system, 80 GB of driving-computer memory with 384 GB of storage, and power doors on all four sides. Ultra runs the third-generation dual-chamber Magic Carpet air suspension with electro-hydraulic braking, one M100 at 1,280 TOPS, a forward lidar and soft-close doors instead. Both carry a 29-inch 6K front display, a 21-inch 4K sliding rear screen, the 9.3.6 Halo theatre system with 33 speakers and 5,440 W, seven-zone climate control and a 10-litre fridge. Available in Slovakia exclusively through RaceIQ.

Select trim
Figures shown for the Livis trim, the top of the range.
Range and charging figures come from Li Auto's own testing under the CLTC cycle; range and consumption vary with driving style and season. CLTC is not WLTP, and EU WLTP figures are materially lower.
Assisted-driving figures come from Li Auto's own testing and vary with conditions. The system is a driver aid only; the driver must remain in active control at all times.

Six seats, four of them zero-gravity. 1,650 kilometres.
Highlights
What makes the L9 exceptional.
01
Six Seats, Four of Them Zero-Gravity
The 2+2+2 layout stays. Two zero-gravity seats in the first row and two dynamic zero-gravity seats in the second, with heating in all three rows, ventilation and 18-point hot-stone massage in the first two, and a third row that reclines to 145 degrees.
02
1,650 km Combined, 420 km Electric
A 72.7 kWh 5C battery and a third-generation in-house range extender give 420 km on battery and 1,650 km combined, both CLTC from Li Auto's own testing, on either trim, with a 10 to 80% charge in 10 minutes at a 5C charger.
03
Two Chassis, One Choice
Livis runs a fully by-wire chassis with 800 V active suspension and electro-mechanical braking (EMB). Ultra uses the third-generation dual-chamber dual-valve Magic Carpet air suspension with electro-hydraulic braking (EHB). Both steer by wire and steer the rear wheels.
04
2,560 TOPS and Four Lidars
Livis carries two Mach M100 chips for 2,560 TOPS, a four-unit 360-degree lidar system, 80 GB of memory and 384 GB of storage. Ultra runs one M100 at 1,280 TOPS with a forward lidar, 48 GB and 256 GB. Ten UWB near-field radars and 360-degree vision on both.
05
33 Speakers, 5,440 Watts
The 9.3.6 Halo theatre system with 33 speakers, triple matrix subwoofers and 5,440 W peak, plus Livis Pods headrest speakers for both front seats, a 29-inch 6K front display and a 21-inch 4K sliding rear screen, on both trims.
06
Rated to Tow, 1,500 kg
New for this generation: a 1,500 kg towing rating, with a powered tow hitch as an option. Seven-zone climate control, a 10-litre fridge that freezes, chills or warms, and a 2,000 MPa integrated twin door ring in the body.

Technology
Software-defined.
AI-powered.
The Li Auto L9 uses Li Auto's 5C range-extender system: a 72.7 kWh CATL ternary NMC battery charged either by the third-generation in-house range extender, a 1.5-litre L3E15CA engine of 115 kW built at Li Auto's Suzhou branch, or, at a 5C DC charger, from 10 to 80% in 10 minutes. Dual motors drive all four wheels with 420 kW (563 hp) and 710 Nm. The two trims differ in the chassis: Livis is fully by-wire, with 800 V active suspension, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering and electro-mechanical brake-by-wire (EMB); Ultra keeps steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering with the third-generation dual-chamber dual-valve Magic Carpet air suspension and electro-hydraulic braking (EHB). Driver assistance on Livis runs on two Mach M100 chips at 2,560 TOPS with a four-unit 360-degree lidar system, 80 GB of memory and 384 GB of storage; Ultra runs one M100 at 1,280 TOPS with a forward lidar, 48 GB and 256 GB. Both carry ten UWB near-field radars, 360-degree vision and a forward radar. The cabin runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 Elite on Livis and an 8797 Max on Ultra.
